On Friday 24.4. . Italian pianist and composer Roberto Magris and Croatian alto saxophonist Denis Razumovič – Razz are coming to the Jazz Temple, who will present their quartet album In Action, which has received very good reviews from renowned jazz critics (AllAbout Jazz USA). The concert is dedicated to the celebration of International Jazz Day.

At VDC Postojna, we believe that there are no limits, there are only challenges that we overcome together. This year, we had the special honour of organising the 21st International Women's Festival. Regional Games of the Special Olympics of Slovenia MATP Primorsko-notranjska region, which will take place on April 23, 2026. We meet in the gym of the Miroslav Vilhar Elementary School and together with our competitors we spread the slogan "Let me win, but if I can't win, let me be brave in my attempt".

Municipality celebrates: central celebration on the occasion of the municipal holiday
The Municipality of Postojna is celebrating!
The cultural programme of the central municipal ceremony will be co-designed by: the Folklore Group of the Anton Globočnik Elementary School, the Postojna Ballet Society, the Matic Marentič Duo, the Postojna Music 1808 and the Anton Globočnik Elementary School Choir. Mayor Igor Marentič will present municipal awards and titles, and after the celebration, at 8:00 p.m., we will open a painting exhibition by Darko Slavec in the small hall.

The Brotherhood of the Blue Gull
A youth theatre performance co-produced by the Ptuj City Theatre and the Margareta Schwarzwald Institute.
Suitable for the 2nd and 3rd triad of primary schools.

A classic of youth literature, it will come to life in a theatrical image and address young people and adults. The play is based on the famous novel by Tone Seliškar, which has been one of the favourite adventure novels of Slovenian primary school students for decades.

Construction and purpose of the fortifications of the Alpine wall between Strana and Varda
You are invited to a lecture on the origin, purpose and construction of the Alpine wall defensive groups on the eastern edge of the Postojna Basin, which will be conducted by Grega Žorž. In the light of archival material from various institutions, the lecture will shed light on the role of the local fortifications in the historical context of the interwar and war period, and present their heritage and potential. Admission is free!
