28th Festival of Different Music Trnje
In an idyllic location, in the shade of a pine forest above the village of Trnje pri Pivki, a boutique festival of different music has been taking place for many years. The festival without headliners offers a genre-diverse music program and every year, in addition to fairly established bands, it also likes to invite interesting newcomers to the scene.

Summer Museum Night
We invite you to spend this year's Summer Museum Night in our company! At 6 p.m., we invite you to a musically interactive performance for children "Repki 2 - Repkarija Galaxy".
At 8 p.m., there will be a guided tour of the permanent exhibition Karst Museum, with an emphasis on new elements in the basement and outdoor viewing depot, and at 9 p.m. there will be a guided tour of the temporary exhibition Crime and Fruit, which thematizes the phenomenon of graffiti. Opening of the exhibition and lecture by Viki Grošlj
We invite you to the opening of the guest exhibition on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the first ascent of the first eight-thousander Makalu and the 30th anniversary of the ascent of the last eight-thousander Annapurna. On this occasion, the participant of both expeditions, Viki Grošelj, will present his latest book Makalu, 8481 - the first Slovenian eight-thousander and the time after.

International Museum Day
This year, International Museum Day is celebrated on Monday, May 18, 2026, so the Notranjska Museum will exceptionally be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Monday, and will be free for all visitors. At 5 p.m., we also invite you to a guided tour for children with the help of the book Caves, and at the same time to a guided tour for adults. Both guided tours are free of charge, no registration is required.

International Museum Day
As part of the celebration of International Museum Day, on Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m., the Notranjska Museum Postojna will organize a guided walk through the graffiti dots in Postojna, led by Dr. Tine Kaluža. At the same time, a workshop for children "A Touch of Heritage" will be held in the museum, where participants will recreate museum motifs and make tactile replicas. The event is free of charge. Hunting tricks and habits
The PBZLD Education Commission and the Notranjska Museum Postojna invite you to a hunting cultural event, which will present a part of the living intangible heritage Call to Hunt. The following will participate: Javorniki Hunting Vocal Group, Brkinsko-kraški hornists, LD Črna jama with hunting roar, Gregor Češarek, Pavel Nared - deer roar imitator and prof.dr. Jernej Zupančič with a lecture on hunting tricks and habits. Admission is free.

Construction and purpose of the fortifications of the Alpine wall between Strana and Varda
You are invited to a lecture on the origin, purpose and construction of the Alpine wall defensive groups on the eastern edge of the Postojna Basin, which will be conducted by Grega Žorž. In the light of archival material from various institutions, the lecture will shed light on the role of the local fortifications in the historical context of the interwar and war period, and present their heritage and potential. Admission is free!

We are pleased to inform you that in cooperation with the Kinesiology Center Corpus, we are preparing a special premium experience, which we have named KULTUR-Switzerland! Golden Edition. It will combine cultural creation at the museum with sporting activities at the Corpus Centre.
At 4 p.m., we will gather in the museum and get to know each other first with good food, followed by a workshop on Beekeeping Medicina and then activities in Corpus.

Vabimo vas na predstavitev mednarodnega strokovnega zbornika Zločin in sadež; razmišljanja o grafitih, v katerem je fenom grafita z različnih področij predstavilo 9 avtorjev. Štirje od njih - dr. Gregor Bulc, Hana Brus, Božidar Zrinski in dr. Tine Kaluža - bodo svoja videnja predstavili na pogovoru, ki ga bo vodila Ana Čič. Vstop je prost. Vabljeni.

Na skupno šestih predavanjih nam bo poznavalec kulturne dediščine krasa, Boris Čok predstavil staroverstvo, običaje in navade starovercev na krasu, njihova znamenja in svete rastline, predavanja pa bodo obogatena tudi s projekcijami kratkih filmov.

Vabimo vas na zadnjo otroško delavnico abonmaja Za mulce, froce in drobižke. V muzeju bomo tokrat gostili ekipo novo odprtega centra Neotropica, pod vodstvom katere si bomo pripravili svoje mini rastlinjake.

KULturno v Notranjskem muzeju Postojna
V okviru obeleževanja Prešernovega dne, slovenskega kulturnega praznika vas ob 17. uri vabimo na ustvarjalno delavnico za otroke. Ob isti uri pa bo za odrasle potekalo tudi vodstvo po razstavi Zločin in sadež, ki tematizira fenomen grafita - razstavo bo predstavil soavtor dr. Tine Kaluža.
Oba dogodka sta brezplačna. Vabljeni.
