Rijeka jazz music is alive and constantly evolving for more than a decade thanks to the jazz musicians who play in this quartet. In this environment, musicians come together, new projects and new music are created. Both Magris and Razz have more than thirty years of performing and recording on the international jazz scene. Their collaboration began when Magris recognized the extraordinary talent of Razzo, whose playing fluently transitions from bebop to free improvisation. The quartet has since distinguished itself by blending a wide range of influences, from classical jazz forms to the avant-garde. Their album In Action, released in the U.S. by JMood Records (Kansas City), captures this shared musical language and the band's commitment to jazz as a living, exploratory art form. The ensemble draws on the members' multi-instrumental background, incorporating acoustic and electric piano, keyboards, Hammond organ, alto and soprano saxophone, flute, bass, guitar, oud, drums, and percussion, creating a sound that is both expansive and adaptable.
