TWO-DAY ART WORKSHOP - 3rd edition

19-20 June 2026

You are kindly invited to a two-day art workshop in nature under the guidance of mentor mag. art. Andreja Gorjanc, academic painter and mentor Guillaume Froger, master of sculpture entitled EN PLEIN AIR. The workshop will take place from Friday, June 19 to Saturday, June 20, 2026, and was prepared in the pristine surroundings of the village of Strane in the municipality of Postojna. These are the places where the coastal climate and the climate of the interior meet.

At the meeting, the art workshop will be held in cooperation with the host sculptor, who has been living in Slovenia for several years and offers the creative atmosphere of his studio under the name Dragon Studio. On the first day, we will learn about sculptural skills, carving inscriptions in stone, and on the second day there will be an opportunity to learn about painting in the open air. On the second day, the artworks will be completed and prepared for exhibition in the cultural center.

In addition to learning about the artistic elements, you will be able to get acquainted with the unspoiled nature of the mountain village of Strane, which offers views, exploratory hikes and triggering motives for creativity during a nearby walk.
The central techniques in painting will be acrylic or oil, with which we will design and build paintings on a theme of our own design. In the embrace of nature, we will learn about the painting landscape, the mixing of colors for the effects of the atmosphere and color mixing.

The price per participant is 190.00 EUR. The price includes:
2-day professional mentorship by two mentors in the Dragon's Studio (Pages 9): painting and sculpture. 2x lunch and 2x dinner.
An exhibition of fine arts on Saturday evening at the Strana Cultural Centre (Pages 6).

It is possible to spend the night with breakfast in the nearby Cultural Center with an additional charge of 20.00 EUR.

PAINTING MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT:
Participants bring with them: sketchbook, drawing and painting material, acrylic or oil paints, such as: warm yellow, red magenta, red cinnabar, blue cyan, blue ultramarine, burnt siena, umbra, white and canvases. Bring comfortable walking shoes, a folding chair and a kickstand.
Participants who stay overnight bring a folding mattress, such as a foldable yogi or foam and sleeping bag.
