This year, the Dragon'ma Youth Festival in Postojna is celebrating its thirtieth edition. The event, which is considered to be the festival with the longest tradition in the region, has brought up entire generations. All these years, however, the festival has faithfully maintained its original mission: to bring quality cultural events directly to the city streets and make it possible for everyone. Admission to all events is traditionally completely free.
This year's jubilee event will take place between August 25 and September 6, 2026. Over the course of thirteen days, more than thirty events will take place, with which the festival has long gone beyond mere musical events. The programme brings a thoughtful interweaving of street theatre, concerts of various genres, creative children's performances and sports activities, thus addressing a wide variety of tastes and interests.
The Dragon'ma Youth is thus not just a series of summer events, but a central social space in the city. With more than 8,000 visitors a year, it successfully connects all generations – from the youngest and families to all those who appreciate relaxed urban culture and lively socializing at the end of summer.
