A film about the dark side of modern Europe, but also about real trade union work and solidarity, which is still possible despite everything. Audience Award and Golden Arena for Best Director in Pula.

Srđan Kovačević / Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia / 2025 / 88 min

While the European economy relies on cheap immigrant labour, workers are forced to accept poor working conditions, unpaid overtime and trampling on their own dignity in search of a better life. The film follows the team of the Workers' Counselling Centre in Ljubljana: social worker Laura Orel, trade union activist Goran Lukić and former electrician Goran Zrnić. They are resorted to by many deceived workers, people who have been left without their unpaid pay and without hope for a better tomorrow. The Workers' Counselling Centre is their only ally in the fight for justice.
