Street show YES, YES!

An international collective of activists and artists with an innovative blend of engagement, humour and circus skills is looking for an answer to the question: is circus just a short escape from the harsh reality, or can it sometimes change the world?

The project revives the tradition of politically engaged and socially critical theatre art in public space, which extends through the engaged movements of the 60s, artistic manifestations from the beginning of the last century to the travelling acting families of the Middle Ages, all the way to the ancient Greeks. With a mixture of circus, clowning, physical theatre and interactive elements, we address the family audience and playfully unravel all the grotesqueness of the current social situation and political manipulations that we face on a daily basis.
