Why do I start and then give up?

Motivation is great to get started. But it's much less reliable when you have to persevere. We invite you to a 45-minute interactive lecture "Why do I start and then quit?" where we will explore what really moves us from "I know it would be good" to "I actually do this".

Why do I start and then give up?

WHY DO I START AND THEN GIVE UP?

How many times have we decided to make a difference? Started a course. Embarked on a new skill. Finally improved our English. Conquered new technology. Read more. Move more. Do something for ourselves.

In the beginning, it worked. But then came the usual Tuesday. Fatigue. Obligations. Lack of time. And the motivation that was so compelling just yesterday disappeared somewhere. But what then?

Motivation is great to get started. But it's much less reliable when you have to persevere. We invite you to a 45-minute interactive lecture "Why do I start and then quit?" where we will explore what really moves us from "I know it would be good" to "I actually do this".

Together we will look for answers to the following questions:

  • Why do we easily get motivated for some things, but procrastinate on others?
  • Can we motivate another person?
  • What happens when the initial excitement is gone?
  • What role do discipline and commitment play?
  • To what extent is the environment responsible for our development and how much is we responsible for ourselves?

Don't expect 45 minutes of theory. Expect questions, collaboration, some humor, some unexpected "aha" and a short coaching session with yourself.

Above all, it's an opportunity to ask yourself: If I already know that it would be good to change something, what am I waiting for?

Maybe we don't need even more motivation for the next step. Maybe we need a decision.
