First Sunday of the month

Every first Sunday of the month, we offer free admission to the museum to the citizens of Postojna, Pivka, Cerknica and the Loka Valley. On display are the permanent exhibition Museum of the Karst and New Premises, the depot and lapidarium, the new exhibition Crime and Fruit, and all children's corners. You are invited to take a look!

Opening of the exhibition and lecture by Viki Grošlj

We invite you to the opening of the guest exhibition on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the first ascent of the first eight-thousander Makalu and the 30th anniversary of the ascent of the last eight-thousander Annapurna. On this occasion, the participant of both expeditions, Viki Grošelj, will present his latest book Makalu, 8481 - the first Slovenian eight-thousander and the time after.

Summer Museum Night

We invite you to spend this year's Summer Museum Night in our company! At 6 p.m., we invite you to a musically interactive performance for children "Repki 2 - Repkarija Galaxy". At 8 p.m., there will be a guided tour of the permanent exhibition Karst Museum, with an emphasis on new elements in the basement and outdoor viewing depot, and at 9 p.m. there will be a guided tour of the temporary exhibition Crime and Fruit, which thematizes the phenomenon of graffiti. Free admission!

City of Beauty Festival

The traditional family festival City of Karst, this year for the fourth time! In addition to guided tours, performances for children, workshops and displays, there will be a Night at the Museum for Children, and a concert by Vlad Kreslin is being prepared for adults.
